Legos are a favorite toy for many children of all ages. Legos cultivate the imagination and encourage creativity and problem-solving. Spend some time with your child making many different creations. Follow the steps below to make a military tank. This is a very basic tank that leaves room for creative alterations.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4x2 plate
  • 2x1 brick with hole
  • 3 Short rods
  • 3 2x2 bricks with holes
  • 4 wheels
  1. Step 1

Begin with the 4x2 plate. Attach the two 2x2 bricks with the holes to the bottom of the plate. The holes should be facing out on the long sides, where the wheels attach.

  2. Step 2

Slide two of the short rods through the holes. Attach the four wheels to the ends of these rods, two on each side. This completes the bottom bulk of the tank.

  3. Step 3

Place the final 2x2 brick with a hole on top of the bottom portion. It is placed directly in the center of the plate, with two studs in front and two in back. The hole should be facing to the front of the vehicle.

  4. Step 4

Push one of the rods into the hole facing the front. This is the cannon or gun of the tank. You may anchor the rod in place with a small stopper piece.

  5. Step 5

Finish the military tank by placing the small, 2x1 brick with a hole on top of the 2x2 brick. Push the last rod through the hole in this brick. This creates another gun on the military tank. This rod may be anchored into place also.
