Instructions

    • 1

Rinse a wash cloth in warm water. Wring it out.

    • 2

Hold the washcloth on your cold sore for a few minutes. The warmth and moisture will soften the area and remove any hardened skin.

    • 3

Use your finger to dab on a cream that heals cold sores. An example is A+D Original Ointment, which is available at drug stores. The cream will protect the cold sore and ease your pain.

    • 4

Get a makeup sponge or cotton swab. Coat it will a cream-stick concealer. Make sure the concealer color matches your skin perfectly.

    • 5

Apply the concealer to the cold sore by carefully dabbing it. Cover the cold sore entirely.

    • 6

Blend the concealer into your skin. Set it by applying translucent or skim-matching powder.

    • 7

Reapply as the makeup wears off or after sweating.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you wash your hands after touching your cold sore to keep it from spreading.

  • Use a new makeup sponge or cotton swab every time you reapply your makeup so you don't contaminate it.

  • Don't use too much concealer or you'll have a mess.
