    Instructions

      • 1

Rearrange the stack of Dutch Blitz cards.

      • 2

Choose a color, red, green, blue or yellow. Each player plays their own color which is on the backside of the card.

      • 3

        Reorganize your individual deck.

      • 4

Put the first three cards that are on top of the pile on the table directly in front of you. The next ten cards are positioned face down to the right or left, depending on which hand you use, to become your "blitz pile."

      • 5

Leave the rest of the pile face down in your hand.

      • 6

Call out start. If there are any number 1 cards in the face up cards it gets placed in the center of the table. These cards can now be played on in numeric order using the color of the 1. Anyone can play on these cards.

      • 7

Replace the cards from the face up cards with cards from your "blitz pile." If there are no more face up cards that can be played, start going through the pile in your hand, 3 at a time.

      • 8

Yell out the word "blitz" when there are no cards left in your "blitz pile." You are the winner of that hand.

      • 9

Separate the cards in the piles in the middle of the table into the colors on the back of the card and give them back to the appropriate player.

      • 10

Count how many cards were left in your "blitz pile." Multiply it by 2. Count the cards in your pile from the center of the table. Subtract the number that you got after you multiplied your "blitz pile" number by 2. This is your score for that hand. Sometimes you will end up with a negative number.
