How to Create a Photo Gallery in Photoshop Elements

With Photoshop Elements, you can input your photos and play with them in various ways. One advantage to Elements is that you can create a customized Photo Gallery for the web, even if you possess little or no design experience.

Step1

Pick photos for your gallery. Remember that your photos will be viewable on the web, which has a worldwide audience, so they should reflect your taste and judgment. Check that images are clear when you zoom in; you want photos with good resolution so that anyone who looks at them can make them out.

Step2

Open your Photoshop Elements. An empty gray screen will appear. Drag and drop your photos into that space from a folder.

Click on "Create" and choose a method for organizing your photos. Choices include Slide Show, Album Pages, Card, VCD, Postcard and Wall Calendar. Click on "Web Photo Gallery." Then click "OK."

Click the arrow in top selection box entitled "Gallery Styles." A drop-down menu will display style choices. When highlighted, each will be represented by a small visual display, which will give you an idea of how your gallery will appear to viewers. Select one.

Step5

Choose from a series of tabs for Banner (input your text), Thumbnails, Large Photos, and Custom Colors. Add subtitles and your email address and choose a font and size. Choose a destination folder through the "Browse" button at the bottom of the screen. You will be prompted to create a name for the folder into which the gallery will be saved.

Step6

Open your folder, and you will find the pictures organized in webpage format, ready for uploading to your site, or for viewing. Arrow navigation takes you from picture to picture.
