How to Create Greeting Cards in Photoshop Elements

With Photoshop, even someone unskilled in design or graphic arts can manipulate photos to create reproductions. If you've ever taken a picture that you thought would make a great greeting card, here's how to do it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Pick a photo. Consider color and composition, and choose an appropriate image for the card you want to create. Click the "Create" button at the top of the screen.
Step2
Choose "Card" on the next screen and click "OK." A screen will appear. Select a style for your card from the list at the right side of the screen. Each sample style appears enlarged, so you can see how it looks up close. Click the "Next Step" button when done.
Step3
Arrange your photos, if you have more than one. Click the "Next Step" button.
Step4
Customize the card as you like, adding text by clicking in the space provided. Think about a caption or title that best captures the message you want to send.
Step5
Click on the arrow to the right of your picture and input the text that for the card. As prompted, add the text for the main caption and any other sentiments you want to include. Click "Next Step."
Step6
Follow the prompts to save your card to a folder. Save and Print, or convert to a PDF file format.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remember to choose paper that adequately showcases the photos, images and text.
