How to Maintain Shopping Date Etiquette
Shopping dates can be a good first date or a great way to catch up with old friends. Shopping date etiquette is the same for both circumstances. Being aware of your friends shopping intentions and scheduling enough time to casually browse and enjoy the day will make your time together a success.

1
Pick a time to meet and show up at that time. You are meeting to get some shopping done, and making your friend wait for you cuts into your shopping time.
-
2
Choose a shopping destination that allows you both the opportunity to get what you want. Shopping malls or outlets are a great place to plan a shopping date.
-
-
3
Decide ahead of time how long your shopping date will last. It is better to have a predetermined ending time than to shop until one of you drop.
-
4
Dress appropriately for your outing. Shopping dates always require a good deal of walking so unless you find 3-inch heels to be comfortable after walking several miles, wear sneakers or low-heeled shoes.
-
5
Avoid too much cell phone talking during your shopping date. You may need to take a phone call or two during your outing, but don't call another friend to ask their opinion when you have one standing right next to you.
-
6
Treat your friend to lunch or a cup of coffee. Shopping dates are about joining a friend to shop, but it's also about good company and spending time with your friend. Take to time to sit down and talk during your shopping outing.
