How to Join Stardoll

Stardoll began its existence as the personal website of a paper doll collector. Even though now you can create your own personalized doll and choose the hottest celebrities to dress, the website still shows its paper doll origins. If you love paper dolls or celebrities, you'll enjoy Stardoll.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

1. Visit Stardoll to see what it's all about. Without joining, you can browse through and play with many of the celebrity dolls. After you look around the website, you'll know if you want to join.
2. Click "Join Now" and then click on your age group if you decide that this is a website for you.
3. Read the "Terms of Use" by clicking its link in the pop-up window. If you aren't sure you understand what the terms of use are, get a parent to help you read them. The website holds you to all of the rules, so you need to know them.
4. Create your Stardoll account by completing the form, including a nickname, your first and last name, your birth date, your email, a password and whether you're a girl or a boy. Click "OK" when you're done.
5. Type in another nickname if the one you chose first is already taken. Reenter your password and click "OK." Confirm your email is correct. If it isn't, type your email into the box and click "Done."
6. Wait for an email from Stardoll to arrive. It contains everything you need to have fun and meet others on the Stardoll website.
7. Become a Superstar member for a low monthly fee, and you can have access to additional Stardolls while enjoying additional member benefits. Click the "Go Superstar" link on the homepage to be transferred to the membership page.
8. Choose your membership level and click "OK." Fill out the payment form and then click "Become a Superstar" to activate your membership.

Tips & Warnings

• Whenever you join a new website, it's a good idea to let your parents know.
• You need a credit card for Superstar membership. Ask your parents to review your purchase and add their credit card information if you don't have one of your own.
