How to Make a Fourth of July Tablescape

Celebrate Independence Day with a dinner for family and friends. This festive Fourth of July tablescape is easy to make. The red, white and blue color scheme is easy to accessorize and your guests are sure to love the party favors. Even a simple Fourth of July barbecue will feel extra special with this patriotic tablescape.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Red tablecloth
  • Patriotic fabric cut into 2 large squares
  • Large glass vase
  • Metallic confetti
  • 2 small American flags
  • Blue charger plates
  • White dinner plates
  • Red soup bowls
  • Water glasses
  • Wine goblets
  • Linen napkins
  • Cellophane bags
  • Gourmet jelly beans
  • Name tags
  1. Step 1

    Cover the table with a plain red tablecloth.

  2. Step 2

    Layer 2 large squares of red, white and blue printed fabric on top of the tablecloth placed at a diagonal.

  3. Step 3

    Fill a large clear vase with red, white and blue metallic confetti streamers. Place 2 small American flags on sticks within the confetti so the flags are raised above the rim of the vase.

  4. Step 4

    Set each place setting with a blue charger, white dinner plate and red soup bowl. Place a clear water glass or wine goblet at each setting as well.

  5. Step 5

    Fold a red, white and blue napkin into a flower shape and place it inside the soup bowl.

  6. Step 6

    Place cellophane bags of red, white and blue gourmet jelly beans or M&Ms at each setting. Attach a red or blue tag with each guests name printed on it, for a fun place card and party favor all-in-one.

  • Scrapbooking stores have wonderful selectiosn of patriotic printed papers that you can use to make your guests name tags.
