A PVC laundry basket can provide an alternative to the store bought brands. This basket takes less than 30 minutes to put together. It has a mesh bag inside that is easily removed and washed as needed.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 8 1-inch PVC 3-way corner connectors
  • 4 1-inch PVC pipes cut 3 feet long
  • 8 1-inch PVC pipes cut 2 feet long
  • 4 1-inch PVC clamps
  • Mesh laundry bag

Step1
Place 2 corner connectors on the ends of the 3-foot pipes. The 3-foot pipes make up the length of the basket.
Step2
Make 2 rectangles by connecting the 3-foot pipes together to the 2-foot pipes with the 3-way connectors. The open connector of the 3-way connectors are need to face the same way.
Step3
Place two 2-foot pipes in the open connectors on each end of one of the rectangles from Step 2. At the end of this step, the laundry basket needs to look like the frame of a box without the top.
Step4
Slide the other rectangle piece from Step 2 onto the 2-foot boards to complete the frame. You now have a rectangle box with no sides, bottom or top.
Step5
Stretch the laundry bag over the frame and hold it down with the PVC clamps. Place one clamp on each side of the frame to finish the laundry basket.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use PVC cement to make the laundry basket sturdier, especially if it is being moved around frequently.
