No parent wants to hear "Are we there yet?" from the kids in the back seat. A simple solution is to install a portable DVD player. DVD players are lightweight and easy to install. Many of them also play CDs and MP3s so it's an easy matter to keep the young travelers entertained. As the technology for portable DVDs becomes more readily available, the price continues to drop as well.

on 3/15/2008 I agree with favyellow. If the manual explained how to install it, why would I be looking here???

on 2/7/2008 These instructions were TOTALLY AND UTTERLY USELESS! All this has told me to do is read the instructions included in the portable case and/or dvd player. My husband and I have looked everywhere for the instructions and cannot find them. This is the reason that I clicked on this "How to install a dvd player in a car". It should actually be, "how to read the directions that you already have"! Thanks for nothing!
