Step 1
Have a sales staff meeting. During the meeting determine what types of communications would be most appropriate to conduct on video conferencing equipment and how the equipment might save on your sales production budget.
-
Step 2
Set a reasonable budget. Video conferencing equipment and setup can run into the tens of thousands of dollars. Look at a few options then you and your accounting team can set a reasonable video conferencing equipment acquisition budget.
-
Step 3
Interview several video conferencing suppliers. Get more than one quote from each of your potential suppliers on low and high end systems.
-
Step 4
Make sure the supplier you choose fully understands what your organization needs and how the equipment can best serve those needs. Let the supplier know how you will be using the equipment and let him tailor make a system perfect for your needs and budget.
-
Step 5
Know video conferencing equipment's limitations. The step into video conferencing, while it might seem like a wonderful solution to the travel expenses incurred by your sales staff, can only go so far in developing personal relationships with your clients. Keep personal service a top priority by taking the time to visit your clients in person.

on 6/4/2009 Nice article above. However, associating video conference as an expensive investment is a thing of the past! Video as a Service, or financial options to rent the high definition end-points (screen and high def camera) and the black boxes (infrastructure boxes) is now a common option from a few selective vendors. Check out www.visionsconnected.com or www.legalvideonetwork.co.uk to see a couple of firms renting their solution instead of asking you to spend a lump sum up-front. Hope it helps. Nica

on 5/24/2009 If you are looking for some great video conferencing equipment I would suggest looking into multiple monitor displays. You would have an amazing new multiple monitor computer and new multiple monitor displays that when not being used for video conferencing could be broken down and used on an individual basis. Take a look at some of these links, they will give you a better understanding of how multiple monitor displays work:1)www.multiplexpc.com2)http://www.multiplexpc.com/multiple-monitor-computers-s/24.htm3)http://www.multiplexpc.com/multiple-monitor-arrays-s/1.htm
