Disposable cameras are an inexpensive way to have access to capturing important moments on film. They are smart to keep in the glove box in the event of an accident; less risky to take on vacation; and a great favor for capturing all those wedding moments. Use these steps to learn more about disposable cameras and how to buy one.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide what you are looking for in a disposable camera. There are different types of disposable cameras to choose from such as the simple 35 mm to disposable underwater and wedding cameras. Think about the one you want and how many you need before looking for the right disposable camera and retailer for you.

  2. Step 2

Check out your local electronics and camera retailers. Everywhere from Wal-Mart to Radio Shack carry disposable cameras in many styles and picture loads. Check out what they have and the prices to compare for the best deal and disposable camera.

  3. Step 3

Buy in bulk. If you are purchasing disposable cameras in bulk, such as for a wedding, check out some of the websites that offer bulk cameras. They offer them cheaper than if you were to buy them all at regular price at a store. There are companies that also offer them decorated for weddings, baby showers and other special events. One such company is Disposable Digital Cameras, which offers disposable digital cameras as well as the 35mm variety.

  4. Step 4

Understand the developing process. If you are buying a 35mm disposable camera, unless you go through a company and buy in bulk, you will be responsible for developing costs. Disposable digital cameras are more expensive, but you are able to upload the pictures immediately to your hard drive and have no developing costs nor wait time for the photos.
