Step 1
Research. Research some of the books that are out there to get a feel for the type of reflexology book you are looking for. While some may have more of the medicinal effect of reflexology, others may have more of an instructional viewpoint.
-
Step 2
Check out the authors such as Barbara Kunz (Complete Reflexology for Life) or titles like The Complete Idiots Guide to Reflexology. You want to make sure the book you are considering was written by an expert in the field. Take a moment to check out the name of the author and see what other credentials pop up. If you are not convinced they are a good source of information, move on to another title.
-
Step 3
Ask an alternative health professional. For a great recommendation, call an alternative medicine professional and ask for the books they recommend. They will be able to share the books they trust and read, as well as the names of authors in the field.
-
Step 4
Chat with your local bookstore staff. Bookstore staff is more knowledgeable than ever and they can direct you to not only what is selling the best, but also what has had good reviews and been recognized in the alternative medicine community.
