Start by taking a class in self defense. Learn basic self defense moves that can save you from an attacker. Your instructor will simulate a number of frightening situation that can happen, and teach you how to save yourself.

Step 2
Remember that items in your purse can always be a weapon. Always carry your car keys in your hand when walking at night. A key can be held in a way where you can defend yourself by hitting the attacker in the face with it.

Step 3
Hit the eyes. You can always stick your fingers in your attackers eye when defending yourself. Attacks happen within seconds and you could save yourself by applying this technique.

Step 4
Use your hands as your self defense weapons. Hit the jaw of your attacker in a strong and quick motion when they put their hands around your neck. This action will make your attacker fall back from you.

Step 5
Use your feet as weapons as well. If someone grabs you from behind, slam your foot down hard on their foot. This move will create a lot of pain for the attacker, and give you a moment to run away.

Step 6
Go for the groin. It doesn't matter if your attacker is male or female. Kick them in the groin area and they will be indisposed.
