Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Communicate with the other offensive player. Make sure you are aware of their plans and they are aware of yours.

  2. Step 2

Ask the trailer or offensive player who is not the puck carrier to travel behind the puck carrier at an angle to protect the puck carrier from potential players trying to check him. A check is when a player intentionally skates into another player to stop the play.

  3. Step 3

Isolate one of the defensive players. Separate him from the others to force a 2 on 1 situation. When a 2 on 1 situation arrives, go wide around him and pass the puck from player to player while traveling into the end zone.

  4. Step 4

Pass the puck in a quick diagonal motion from player to player. This often creates openings between two defensive players and allows for the puck to move down the ice faster.

  5. Step 5

Before taking a shot at the goal, watch the goalie. Find the perfect time to shoot to make the score.

Tips & Warnings
  • When playing in close proximity to defenders avoid the defenders stick whenever possible. The defender uses his stick to push yours to a bad angle or to prevent you from shooting the puck.
