Step 1
Begin with your schedules. The first passage point is the schedules of all those coming on the vacation. You need to give yourselves as many possible vacation times as possible. Try to find times throughout different seasons of the year so you can get creative as to the timing of your romantic beach vacation.

Step 2
Check the weather of various destinations. Take a look at a few destinations that are known to be consistently sunny during the times that you're available. Make sure as you do this that you don't plan your vacation during a usually sunny period that also are susceptible to storms or hurricanes. Make a list of the few places that are sunny during your availability.

Step 3
Factor in tourists. The last thing you want is to have your meticulously-timed beach vacation overrun by other tourists. Look to the swing dates, or times of seasonal transition when many schools are still in session and workers are not yet on seasonal breaks. Also consider equatorial destinations that have perpetual sun, even during regular work seasons.

Step 4
Think about what's going on at home. The last thing you need to consider is if you will be able to find a babysitter for the kids, a kennel for the dog, someone to pick up the mail or one of the many other daily errands of reality that need to be squared away before you can get away on your romantic beach vacation. Write down all these factors and spend some time thinking up creative solutions, so you can properly plan your vacation without too much worry.
