Create wonderful memories by taking a family vacation in Europe. With so many destinations to choose from, the possibilities for fun and education are endless. Europe is full of places that are rich in culture and history, which makes a family vacation unforgettable.

From Quick Guide: Plan a European Vacation
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit Italy. Many consider Italy to be the most kid-friendly European destination. The food is excellent and is loved by children. Italians seem to have more patience with children. There is much to do and see, in addition to many beaches to choose from.

  2. Step 2

Take a trip to the United Kingdom. It is easier for your family to visit a place that speaks the English language. Culture shock isn't so much of an issue for children and teenagers when visiting the U.K.

  3. Step 3

Do Disney Europe. If mom and dad want to visit Europe, compromise by visiting a child's paradise of Disney. Disney Europe is a completely different experience than Disneyworld and Disneyland and worth it if in Europe already.

  4. Step 4

Consider your family roots and genealogy. This may help in planning a family vacation to Europe. This is an enriching and educational experience, especially for older children. Visit the place of your ancestors.

  5. Step 5

Try a European cruise. The cruises are through the Mediterranean, and you can see multiple countries this way. Kids won't have a chance to get bored with everything that goes on a cruise ship. The food options keep picky eaters happy, and there is plenty of opportunity for swimming, shopping and many other things kids and teenagers enjoy.

  6. Step 6

Splurge on the best hotels when taking the family to Europe. European hotels rooms are generally much smaller than American rooms, and the standards are much lower. Nothing makes a trip bad faster than being cramped in an odd-smelling, thin-walled tiny room.

  7. Step 7

Apply for passports with plenty of time to spare. Everyone needs a passport, and the process can sometimes take up to a year.
