The Jersey Shore is known for its beautiful beaches and fun events for the whole family. For your next or first vacation to the Jersey Shore, consider renting a vacation house for all the comforts of home while you are away.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide on the specific area of the Jersey Shore that interests you. Though the state is small, there are many places to stay and great things to do. Think of the events or activities you want to take part in to help you decide on the house location. This could include the Keansburg Amusement Park/Runaway Rapids in Monmouth County for family fun or the Atlantic City Boardwalk (the oldest known boardwalk) with lots of great amusements and casinos for adults.

  2. Step 2

Consider the features you are looking for in the rental home--the number of people it accommodates, the number of bathrooms you want, the amenities you want (such as a hot tub) and whether you can take pets with you.

  3. Step 3

Contact a Jersey Shore realtor that specializes in vacation home rentals or use one of the many sites that offer owners the option to list rental properties, such as Shore Breeze. Being connected with a real estate agent will make the job much easier, but you can look through independent listings, too.

  4. Step 4

Plan early and pay a deposit. Planning ahead and getting a properly-completed application in on the property is key to actually getting it. Paying a deposit will ensure that you get the property, even if other vacationers inquiry into the house.
