In 1992, XM Radio was introduced as the third broadcast medium alongside AM and FM radio. Transmitted by satellite and offering music, comedy, sports, talk and other entertaining programming, many automobile manufacturers now offer XM. XM Radio is also available online. To sell XM Radio, you must first become a dealer. If you wish to partner with XM Radio to offer their services to your customers, here's how.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Own a storefront retail business. XM Radio only accepts applications from dealers who have storefronts. Proof that you have a storefront is required as part of the application process.

  2. Step 2

Visit the XM Radio website and click on "Become a Dealer." This takes you to the online retailer application form.

  3. Step 3

Fill out all of the required information on the application form. This includes your business name and address, the type of products you sell and product source information.

  4. Step 4

Click on "Submit" to send your application to XM Radio. Wait up to 15 business days for application processing. You then receive additional information as well as an XM agreement in the mail.

  5. Step 5

Send the agreement back to XM along with a photograph of your storefront business and a copy of your retailer sales certificate. XM doesn't process agreements without this information.

Tips & Warnings
  • If more than 15 business days pass and you don't hear from XM, contact the company via email to query about the status of your application.
  • XM Radio is currently available only in the continental United States.
