How to Use a ViaMichelin Portable Navigation System

As more and more people begin to use amazing new GPS technology on the road, ViaMichelin's X930 and X970 models are one way to take advantage of the way these systems put piles of maps conveniently in the palm of your hand. ViaMichelin's handheld and ultra-portable GPS devices offer detailed navigation and up to date voice-generation technology as well as other high-tech features for both pedestrians and motorists.

Instructions

    • 1

Make room on the dash. Mount your ViaMichelin device neatly on your dashboard with an accessory kit or your own ingenuity. Take it with you when you leave the vehicle. These handheld units can go wherever you do.

    • 2

Use touchscreen technology to control the GPS device. Touch-screen controls provide more safety for use in the vehicles and add to overall convenience. Use touchscreen controls to view regional or street-level maps.

    • 3

Use voice-generated instructions to get a turn by turn guide in any one of several languages. New voice-generating technology means you can sit back and let your Viamichelin device tell you where to go, in English, Spanish, German, or a number of other languages.

    • 4

Use ViaMichelin's Points of Interest (POI) system to find gas stations and other useful landmarks along your route.

    • 5

Make and receive calls with Bluetooth connectivity. The X970 offers this feature as a way to let the driver "multi-task" hands-free.

    • 6

Choose routing options. The X970 also offers the following choices for destination maps: shortest, quickest, or toll-free. Drivers choose the option that best suits their needs, whether it's optimum speed, lowest mileage, or avoiding pesky lines at toll plazas.
