With the complexities of today's commuting life, the small portable navigation systems offered for sale by innovative tech companies are a very useful solution to traffic woes. These new products will help travelers find their destinations without paging through maps while driving, some even claim the new devices cut down on accidents. ViaMichelin, a maker of navigational equipment, sells multiple portable navigation models for use in vehicles.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the ViaMichelin corporate site. You'll see a flurry of ads and company information on the page, including the "Michelin Man" mascot that appears throughout the site.

  2. Step 2

Select your country by clicking on one of the small flags at the top right. You'll be directed to a country-specific ViaMichelin page with more accessible tabs for browsing products.

  3. Step 3

Click on the "Products" tab to view ViaMichelin's line of portable navigation devices.

  4. Step 4

On the resulting product page, you'll be presented with another Michelin Man figure holding a "tray" of products: there is a link for either of ViaMichelin's two different models. Click on a model number to view the product.

  5. Step 5

You'll see a large picture of the model you selected. Use the "Overview" and "Features" tabs to find out more about your chosen model.

  6. Step 6

When you know you want to buy a ViaMichelin model, click on the "Where to Buy" tab at the top of the page to view a list of retailers who sell ViaMichelin in their stores and online. You can decide whether you want to contact a store near you, or go online to find best prices.

  7. Step 7

Shop the Internet for best prices. Large Internet retailers like Amazon.com have ViaMichelin products available; a quick browse will show you where the bargains are.

Tips & Warnings
  • Write down the model number: since ViaMichelin does not provide a site-based purchase system, you'll be searching for the model you chose. Writing down the product number makes it easier to buy the system later.
