How to Write a College Business Ethics Test

Good business ethics should be a part of every business since they are the key to profits. If your customers or clients don't feel they can trust you and the business ethics you embrace, you might have a hard time getting people to do business with you. Nobody wants to buy from or deal with a company they don't trust.

Instructions

    • 1

Look through the textbook and class notes you gave during the unit.

    • 2

Identify your objectives. Decide what want your students to learn from each business ethics chapter unit.

    • 3

Write one short and one long essay question. Students should be able to answer each one with a brief explanation.

    • 4

Make a list of 10 vocabulary terms you want your students to learn. Decide your point value for each question--the harder or more specific the term, the greater the point value.

    • 5

Write 20 multiple-choice questions and determine the point value of each one.

    • 6

Compose a brief statement or question about a major topic from the business ethics unit or chapter.

    • 7

Add some bonus questions like asking to draw a diagram or to explain a graph if you think it is appropriate for the class. You can make this as many points as you want to.

Tips & Warnings

  • Give your students an outline of what the test might cover.

  • Extra credit is always a good incentive to achieve a better grade.

  • A student might fail the test. A repeat might or might not be something you can offer.

  • If a company doesn't adhere to business ethics and breaks the law, they get fined.
