How to Use the Dogbook Application on Facebook

Facebook is a social networking utility that rapidly gained popularity among college students and has now spread to all demographics. The spread has even gone beyond human demographics to include dogs. With the addition of the Dogbook application, you can give your dog her own Facebook profile. It's a great way to share pictures and information about your dog with friends.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Log in to your Facebook account.
2. Find the search box in the upper-left corner of the main Facebook page. Enter "Dogbook" in the search box and press "Enter." Facebook will search for the Dogbook application.
3. Select the application titled "Dogbook." This should be the first application at the top of the search results.
4. Click the blue "Add Application" button in the upper-right corner of the Dogbook page. This will associate the Dogbook application with your Facebook profile and allow you to make a page for your dog.
5. Choose the "Create a Profile for Your Dog" link from the top of the next page. This will take you to the page where you will enter information about your dog.
6. Add information to your dog's Facebook profile. On the next page, enter information in the fields such name, breed, gender and birthday. Then enter the city and state where you and your dog live in the text box and hit "Locate to Show the Location on the Map."
7. Enter some more information about your dog in the next fields to make his Facebook profile more interesting. Enter his favorite activities, treats, places to play and any other information, such as favorite toys or family information, in the "About Me" section. Hit the "Create Profile" button when you're through.
8. Update your dog's Facebook profile at any time by clicking on the "Dogbook" link at the top of your profile and then selecting your dog.
