Step 1
Call your local pregnancy care center. There are pregnancy care centers all over the nation ready to help you in this journey through teen pregnancy. Call (800) 395-HELP. They can also help with baby items and maternity clothing.
-
Step 2
Connect with other young moms at Young Mommies (see Resources below). You will find other moms here who can relate to the difficulties of mothering, completing your education and possibly working all at the same time.
-
Step 3
Visit your local church. Most likely your local church has a "Mommy and Me" or other type of mom's group. These groups are well-organized and usually take place in the church nursery. Also see if your church has a teen pregnancy support group or if they can refer you to one close by.
-
Step 4
Join a Yahoo! teen pregnancy support group. There are all sorts of Yahoo! groups to become involved in during your teenage pregnancy and beyond. Make certain your personal information and that of others are protected by joining a private group with a moderator instead of a public group.
-
Step 5
Start your own teen pregnancy support group. If you cannot find a support group that suits your needs, try starting your own. You'll be surprised how many others are facing the same teenage pregnancy challenges you are and how much they need to talk to someone who understands.
