Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Find yourself a quiet spot where you will be undisturbed for at least an hour. Try to clear your plate of burdens and responsibilities or interruptions for just one hour.
Step2
Sit in the lotus position, or any comfortable position. You can sit in a big cushy chair if you like for this healing meditation.
Step3
Close your eyes and whisper a few positive words or affirmations. "I am whole. I am whole. I am whole." Something like that will work. Get centered, relax and try to feel or imagine yourself as a healing self.
Step4
Begin to meditate. In your mind, go back to the earliest memory you can see, picture, remember or see in your mind from your childhood.
Step5
Remember your parents, where you lived, your siblings, key moments in your life as best as you can. Only certain memories will be available to us after so many years of life. Do your best to recall what you can, and be at peace that you lived through the rest and so everything turned out OK.
Step6
Keep doing this exercise, moving from the memories of yourself as far back as you can go, progressively moving through the years of your life. You can be very thorough in this one hour healing meditation and cover only a few years. Or you can discipline your mind to move through the years advancing quickly into your teens and beyond.
Step7
Take one hour this first time to remember and heal. Do this exercise as often as you like. Bring a loving non-judgmental attitude for yourself and everyone you remember. Just observe, and breathe love, hope, peace and understanding into all that you see. The greater the depth of clarity and understanding you can experience, the greater will be the self knowledge and healing.
