How to Choose Bullets

Many software packages include bullets. Bullets are characters that you use to call attention to certain material in your document or presentation. This article will explain how to choose bullets in PowerPoint. You can also use numbers instead of bullets depending on the look you want to give your presentation. Read on to learn how to choose bullets in PowerPoint.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Add bullets to your presentation by clicking on the bullet icon on the toolbar. You can select "Add." This will not change the way the bullet looks.
Step2
Delete bullets from your presentation by clicking on the bullet icon on the toolbar. Then select "Delete."
Step3
Change the way your bullets look by first selecting the text that you wish to change.
Step4
Select the "Format" menu and "Bullets and Numbering". A box will appear that has a tab for bullets and a tab for numbering.
Step5
Pick the tab for "Bullets". You will see choices for your bullets. If you don't find the one you want you can select the character button and this will give you more choices. If you are still not satisfied or you want to use a picture as your bullet you can select the picture button and import the picture of your choice.
Step6
Increase or decrease the size of the bullet by selecting the size box and filling in a higher or lower number for the size.
Step7
Decide on the color you want the bullet to be by selecting a color from the drop down menu beside color.
