San Francisco is a wonderful city, and it's an especially nice place to spend your honeymoon. Whether you spend your nights in a hotel or choose a quaint bed-and-breakfast inn in an out-of-the-way spot, you can be sure to find to plenty to do while you are in town. Here are a few suggestions to help you plan a San Francisco honeymoon.

Choose the method of transportation that suits you. You can drive your own vehicle. Or you can choose to ride the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). It takes you to most destinations.

Ride the cable cars. Buy an all day pass. The trolley ride is for one way only, so you have to get off and wait your turn to ride back to your starting point. You can also buy a public transportation pass with the trolley pass that allows you to ride public transportation in the city.

Walk down Lombard Street. It's the most crooked street in the world. You can also drive down the one-way street in your car.

Sample the cuisine in any one of the many ethnic neighborhoods of San Francisco. Be sure to sample the locally made sourdough bread. Spend time walking through places such as Chinatown and North Beach.

Visit Fisherman's Wharf. While it is a tourist attraction, it's unique to San Francisco. Visit Ghiradelli Square and sample the world famous chocolate there.

Ride on a ferry across San Francisco Bay or under the Golden Gate bridge a part of your honeymoon memories. Take the ferry to Sausalito or any of the other communities that border the Bay. Spend some time on Alcatraz.

Drive to Muir Woods. This park has some of the world's tallest redwood trees. It's not far from San Francisco and well worth making the trip a part of your honeymoon.
