Money clips are an alternative to the classic wallet. Many men prefer them because they can carry their money without dealing with the bulk of a wallet. Money clips are comfortable when carried in your front pocket, unlike many wallets.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide what kind of money clip you want. There's the kind you squeeze the dollar bills into, those that snap up and down with a spring loaded back and others with a magnetic clip for added security.

  2. Step 2

Choose a color and tone. Money clips come in silver tone, gold tone, pewter, leather and stainless steel.

  3. Step 3

Go online to find the most comprehensive selection of money clips. You can get clips engraved with your initials. There are also many that show your personality. For instance a minted coin, dollar sign, card suits, golf or sports logo.

  4. Step 4

Check men's clothing stores and department stores for money clips. They are usually near the men's wallets and ties. There will be a few choices, but not nearly as many as you'll find online.

  5. Step 5

Consider a wallet and money clip combination. You can purchase leather wallets with a sleeve for your license and a few credit cards. Attached to the outside is a magnetic clip to hold your bills. It's much smaller and more accessible than a typical wallet.

  6. Step 6

Get a Smart money clip. It's one of the most popular money clips on the market. Secure your cash on one side under the clip and put a few cards on the other side. There's no magnet to interfere with your credit cards.
