Scrapbooks allow you to capture memories that incorporate creativity and style. Almost any event, including a long weekend, can be preserved through scrapbooking to help keep the memories vivid. These hints can help you turn a long weekend into a personal treasure.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Photos
  • Scrapbook supplies
  • Scratch paper
Step1
Print or process all of the photos from the long weekend that you wish to include in the scrapbook page. Organize the photos in a way that makes sense to you. You can organize them by daily events, type of photos or the people in the pictures. Ask others that took pictures during the weekend for copies of their photos for an additional perspective.
Step2
Plan the layout, papers and embellishments you need. Pick a theme for the layout. For the Fourth of July try fireworks and red, white and blue as part of the theme. If you attended a wedding during the long weekend then incorporate a wedding theme.
Step3
Write out a summary of the chosen photos on scratch paper before adhering them to the page. This allows you to organize your thoughts and to determine how to fit the journaling into the space allowed. Print or handwrite the journaling to fit the space in the layout.
Step4
Create your layout by cropping and mounting the photos and journaling. Maintain the photos as the focus of the scrapbook layout. Add a title and stickers that fit the theme to complete the long weekend layout. Add dimension and visual intrigue by using different lettering and fonts in the title and journaling.
