Go to Hertz's website at Hertz.com and choose your options in the box that says "Plan Trip."

Enter the dates that you would like to pick up and return the car. You can enter the dates yourself or utilize the pop-up calendar.

Choose your Hertz location. If you are renting from an airport location, you can also search by airport code. If you're not sure of the airport code, just click on "Search" to find the nearest location.

Use the dropdown box to pick the type vehicle you'd prefer. Choose from compact, mid-sized, standard 2- to 4-door, SUV, full-size, economy or luxury. Keep in mind, a compact car is going to be less expensive than an SUV, but if you have a lot of luggage, you might want the extra room.

Select the car you want to rent from the list and click on the button next to the vehicle.

Check the boxes with any extras you may need, such as child seats or satellite radio. You can also get Hertz navigation system so you don't get lost.

Step 7
Call the Hertz location, once you have received your quote, and ask about any additional fees they might charge that are not included in the online quote.
