Step 1
Consider the permanent makeup you would like. Research the different areas of permanent makeup there are and decide on the permanent makeup you would like to have. Consider the recovery and puffiness of the area when deciding what areas, when and how many procedures to do.
-
Step 2
Shop around your local area or the area you are willing to travel to for the procedure(s). You should look locally first for a spa or other facility that offers permanent makeup, unless you live in a rural area-then you may have to travel for the procedure.
-
Step 3
Arrange a consultation with a permanent makeup professional. Once you have found the permanent makeup professional you would like to do your procedure, arrange for a consultation with them to get an actual cost, timeframe and how your particular skin will react to the procedure.
-
Step 4
Ask for certification verification and references before the procedure is scheduled. It is extremely important to make sure that the professional doing your permanent makeup procedure is not only certified to do so, but has an impressive portfolio of clients that have been happy with their results.

on 12/26/2008 Permanent Makeup is more appropriately called Cosmetic Tattooing because that is exactly what it is, a cosmetic tattoo in process.
