Selecting the perfect condom may seem like an easy task, but when faced with the wide array of options in your local supermarket you may become overwhelmed. Condoms are especially tricky to choose if used for oral sex, as the choices of styles, sizes, colors and flavors will all have an effect on the overall satisfaction of you and your partner. The next time you go shopping for condoms, keep a few tips in mind.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a flavored condom for oral sex, as standard latex condoms are often powder coated and can leave a bitter taste in your mouth for a long time afterwards. Condoms come in a wide array of flavors, so experiment to find the flavor and brand that works best for you.

  2. Step 2

Buy non-lubricated condoms, as lubricant used in condoms is not meant to be ingested and does not have the greatest flavor. If used for oral sex, you most likely do not need lubricant anyway. However, if you would like to heighten the experience, there are a wide number of flavored edible lubricants available which you can add yourself.

  3. Step 3

Select ultra-thin condoms for more pleasure. Regular condoms are meant to last, but even ultra-thin condoms can take quite a bit of pressure without breaking. An ultra-thin condom will ensure the maximum of sensation through the latex.

  4. Step 4

Go with plain condoms, instead of ribbed, studded or other fancy styles. These characteristics, which can be great stimulation for traditional sex and foreplay, are just in the way during oral sex and can actually inhibit the physical sensations felt by your partner.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to choose non-latex condoms if you have a latex allergy. All of the traditional styles of condoms are available in non-latex varieties.

on 6/1/2008 This is really good advice. I never knew there was supposed to be a difference between latex and nonlatex in regards to taste. I do know that there are female oral condoms that are basically a square strip. I have no idea what they are made of though.
