How to Convert BMP to WMF

Download a graphics program from the Internet. The particular program is not as important as long as it has the ability to support WMF graphics files. There are a multitude of files that can be found for free at download.com. Once you have downloaded one of these programs you should install the program on your computer. Remember to scan the file for a virus before installing it.

Open the program and load the BMP file. Now you should open File menu and look for Save As. This will allow you to save the file in the format that is suitable for the application you have for the file.

Select Save As and give the file a name so it can be found later. Make sure you indicate where you want the file to be saved on your hard disk and remember it so you can find it later. Finally and most importantly, use the drop down box that indicates what kind of file you want to save and select WMF as the file format.

Make sure that after the conversion of the file from BMP to WMF that the file still looks like the original. Strange things have been known to happen when file formats change, so be safe and check it out before sending it out or using it.
