After the huge success of Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man, the makes of the popular game series released the offspring of the two previous versions, Jr. Pac Man. The junior version of the game offers seven mazes to challenge the player. Most of the rules are the same but there are some important differences. Follow these steps to win at Jr. Pac Man.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Learn the new maze structure. In Jr. Pac Man, the creators of the game developed seven new mazes that are all twice as big as the mazes from the earlier titles. To win at Jr. Pac Man you need to learn the new maze structures and also get used to the side scrolling that the game uses to account for the much wider playing field.

  2. Step 2

Watch out for the ghosts. Winning at Jr. Pac Man partly relies on knowing the evil ghosts and their behavior. You have four ghosts to deal with. The red ghost tails you wherever you go, the pink ghost tries to stay ahead of Jr. Pac Man, the blue ghost usually chickens out if you take him head on and the orange ghost doesn't follow any discernible rules. Learn these behaviors to beat the ghosts.

  3. Step 3

Eat the pellets. The power pellets in the corners of the maze not only send the evil ghosts running but also allow you to earn big points by eating the ghosts. To earn the most points try to eat as many ghosts as possible just after eating a pellet. This scores you 400, 800 or 1600 points, depending on how many of the ghosts you manage to eat consecutively.

  4. Step 4

Turn on a dime. One of the best tricks to use to win at Jr. Pac Man is turning quickly. Once Jr. eats a pellet his speed is considerably slowed. However, Jr. Pac Man can still turn faster than the ghosts, so get a ghost or two to chase you towards a power pellet, eat the pellet and then turn to devour as many of the ghosts as you can. This will give you time to finish the level while scoring big points.
