Coby MP3 players enable you to take your music with you and enjoy it wherever you find yourself. Unlike players from other manufacturers that have proprietary connections and need to be used with their manufacturer's special software, the Coby Media Manager program is optional. If you prefer, you can just use a standard USB connection to connect a Coby player to your computer and add or delete music from it. The Coby player acts much like a portable hard drive, letting you copy MP3 files to it without using any special software.

Step 1

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder on your computer where you store your music files.

Step 2

Connect your Coby MP3 player to an open USB port on your computer using the Coby's sync cable.

Step 3

Click the "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" option in the "AutoPlay" window.

Step 4

Drag the songs you want on your Coby MP3 player from your computer's music folder to player's window.

To select multiple files, select a file and then hold the "Ctrl" key to select additional files. Alternatively, select a whole block of files by holding down the "Shift" key. Once all of the files are highlighted, drag them to the Coby's folder to copy them.

Step 5

Disconnect your Coby MP3 player from your computer when the files have finished copying.
