Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Research a little about Atlanta, if you have not already done so, to learn what the city has to offer and the areas of the city you will want to consider living in.
Step2
Make a list of the things that are important to you for a neighborhood to live in such as low crime rate, good schools, recreation activities, dining options or other cultural experiences. You should also be thinking about your lifestyle and what you need near you, taking into consideration whether you are single, married, and have kids. All of these things will change the dynamic of the neighborhood you are looking for.
Step3
Narrow down the different areas of the city you are interested in and visit them to see up close if they will fit the needs you listed in Step 2. Visit the schools and speak with people, visit the local parks and other attractions or daily life features you are interested in.
Step4
Talk with the neighbors. This may sound strange when you are looking into a city you are unfamiliar with, but consider the sources. The residents of the neighborhood you are interested in will know the reality of the neighborhood better than anyone, plus the personalities of the neighborhood may help you make your decision as well.
