Build or attach a prosthetic nose. The key to making a nose for Gonzo is the long flimsy-witchlike nose. It's shaped sort of like a beak, but it's not his mouth.
-
2
Cover your hair with a bald cap. Using a wig cap and a latex cover for your head, cover your hair to make your head look more round and like an alien/bird.
-
3
Paint yourself blue except for your nose. Once you have the prosthetics done, cover yourself with a layer of blue paint on anywhere that will not be covered by a costume. If you use grease paint, you'll need to seal it, but if you use a self drying costume makeup, this step will be easier.

Paint latex nose prosthetic the area around your mouth with a mixture of grey and pink paint. Gonzo's nose has a bluish hue to it to compliment his feather coloring, so use a little bit of the blue paint for shading. Once you're finished with that, put the yellow eye shadow on your eyelids.

5
Attach feathers. Using spirit gum, attach a loose layer of feathers on your head, neck and upper body area. Gonzo didn't have a whole lot of feathers because he couldn't really fly, but he had little bits of them on his head especially.

Dress the part. Put on the white tights and wear the red shorts over them. Tuck the yellow shirt, and top the outfit off with the read cape. If you're feeling adventurous you can bedazzle the shirt, shorts and cape for added effect. Now you are ready for your night out as Gonzo.
