Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Go to "Get Tunes & Tones," and select "Record New." Then, select "Options" from the menu and switch over to "Mini SD Card" as the storage device.
Step2
Return to "Record New" and record anything. It can be for two seconds or more in duration.
Step3
Check whether your recording worked by going to "Get Tunes & Tones" and play your recording. If you were successful, go on to the next step. If not, repeat the above steps.
Step4
Turn off your phone and remove the Transflash card, and insert it into your PC. Then, copy any MP3 file of your choice onto the Transflash card's root directory.
Step5
Choose the audio file you recorded, right click and click "Copy," then rename the file as you choose keeping the extension ".qcp."
Step6
Right click on the MP3 file you copied, and replace the audio file you just copied with the MP3 file. Your phone will think it's a regular audio file. If you wish to have more than one MP3 file on your phone, repeat steps 7 through 9.
Step7
Take the Transflash file from your PC and put it back in your phone and select the MP3 file as your ringtone.

on 12/29/2007 Step six seems to be confusing. Can you please clarify what you mean by "replacing the audio file you just copied with the MP3"?
