Military court is a place of strict rules and decorum. Even more than civilian court, military court relies on you keeping your emotional reactions to a minimum so that the customs and ceremonies of the presiding official are held in the highest regard. Here's how to behave in a military court,

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Dress in the appropriate dress uniform according to the standing order of the day. A disciplined appearance is not only recommended, it is vital if you expect to be heard.
Step2
Ensure that all of your military ribbons are displayed properly. The cleanest military appearance demonstrates your commitment to following the rules and regulations to a "T."
Step3
Listen carefully during the proceedings. To behave properly in military court you must be situationally aware at all times, responding in a timely fashion to any directions or requests from the court.
Step4
Remain aware of military bearing even when the court is out of session. Others will try you in the court of public opinion when you let your guard down.
Step5
Read the Uniform Code of Military Justice manual before arriving at court. You must know the rules and regulations you're being tried under before you know what is and what isn't acceptable behavior.
Step6
Retain a stoic outlook on the proceedings. To behave well in military court is perhaps one of the hardest but most important things in your military career.
