The military offers an abundance of opportunities to those who enlist. Not only will you learn to be disciplined but you will gain greater respect for yourself and from those around you. One of the most prestigious areas to work for in the military is aviation. Aviation will not only test your brain but your body as well. Here are some steps for learning to fly a military helicopter.

From Quick Guide: Aviation Jobs
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test. This is a mandatory test that all future recruits have to take. It is a career placement test that gauges where you might be suitable to work in. This is not to say the military will only place you in the areas you qualify on the test.

  2. Step 2

Pass basic training with flying colors. Being a pilot not only requires you to be in top mental condition but also in top physical condition as well. Air pressure can take a toll on some people so be sure that you physically prepare for flight.

  3. Step 3

Practice, practice and then practice some more. The military will obviously train you to fly a helicopter but only the best of the best will actually get to fly a helicopter.

  4. Step 4

Learn every part of the helicopter as well as evasive maneuvers so well that you can explain them backwards and forwards. Technique is crucial in the military and if you are not in sync with the majority something could go terribly wrong.
