Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paint
  • Pillows
  • Candles
  • Drapes
  • High Thread Count Sheets
  1. Step 1

Start off by looking at your room and writing down your likes and dislikes. Does the paint color suite you? Is your comforter more than five years old? You want your room to follow some kind of color pattern. The color you choose should be agreed upon by all members that share the room.

  2. Step 2

Once you have decided on a color scheme it is time to get moving. From the color of the walls to the carpet you want to feel comfortable here. Go shopping for all of the items that you see necessary. Do not skimp on things. Remember that your bedroom is your sanctuary. You want it to feel this way. This is the one place that is meant for you and only you. Treat it as you treat your body.

  3. Step 3

Bedding should be on the top of the priority list. Pillows are a must in the bedroom. Pillows make a place look cozy. Choose pillows that you find comfortable. Do not go just on looks alone. When it comes to bedding you want it to be quality. Go for a high thread count sheet. You will not regret it. After all you should be spending eight hours a day in this spot. So you should come from it feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

  4. Step 4

Finally, throw some candles and other items around the room that mean something to you and your spouse. If your bedroom is tile or has wood flooring, you may want to place a cozy rug at each side of the bed. This way you feel warm comfort each time you depart from your resting place. Remember you room is you sanctuary so add to it all of the details that make you feel best.
