There's a wealth of information about corporations and corporate law available on the Internet, but much of it can be dense and difficult for a layman to follow. This is where corporate law blogs come in handy. Blogs are typically written in a casual style and are intended to relate information in an easy-to-follow manner. Also, blogs allow you to ask questions and post your own comments.

Things You'll Need:

  • Anonymous email account
  1. Step 1

Locate a law blog that focuses on corporate law. Since there are many aspects of corporate law, you should peruse many blogs until you find one devoted to your particular interest, whether it is mergers, acquisitions or securities regulations.

  2. Step 2

Follow corporate news in other media, like television and radio, to learn what corporations are in trouble. Corporate law blogs tend to spring up when a major corporation is in trouble with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). You can search for these new blogs using the company's name.

  3. Step 3

Browse the corporate law blogs you find to see which ones offer the most detailed information about corporations and the ways in which they are regulated. Scan the blogs to get a feel for the strength of each blog's community, since different blogs will attract different types of readers and posters.

  4. Step 4

Set up a new email account with any of the Internet browsers that offer free email accounts. Choose an email address that does not include your real name. You will be able to use this account to register with blogs while retaining your anonymity.

  5. Step 5

Register with the corporate law blogs you like. Usually, you will need to create a screen name and password and provide an email address. Registering will allow you to follow posts, make comments and interact more directly with the blogger and other readers.

  6. Step 6

Check back often with the blogs you like. Corporate scandals seem to pop up frequently, and by checking the blogs, you may even be able to find out about new scandals before they make the news.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try searching for corporate law blogs kept by the attorneys of prominent corporations.
  • Never use information you read in a corporate law blog as legal advice, as the people blogging are not your lawyer, and you don't know their true qualifications.
  • Never disobey the rules of a blog. Violating these rules can get you banned from the blog and alienate you from other corporate law bloggers.
