The multimedia program Flash, offered through Adobe, allows the creation of movies, animation and designs in a digital environment. With Flash programs, designers need to know the right steps to convert files for certain applications. You must be familiar with the correct procedure to build wallpaper in Flash to get positive results.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Set the size of your Flash wallpaper design before you transfer the picture to your desktop. You can access the resolution of a Flash image in the tool bar above the viewing screen to match the resolution of your monitor.
Step2
Add a colorful background to your Flash wallpaper using the color gradient tool. The gradient tool establishes hue and shading options for colors ranging from bright yellow to deep navy. You should begin your background design with a simple color that you can look at in the months ahead.
Step3
Select the gradient design for Flash wallpaper in the color options available through the tool bar. You can add checkers, diamonds and a dozen shapes offered by Adobe to add some style to your background.
Step4
Insert a full range of geometrical shapes into your Flash design using the shaping tool. This tool is available on the sidebar, and a long click on the ellipse symbol gives you a full menu of shapes from which to choose.
Step5
Blend colors and deepen certain shades using the brush tool as you build your Flash wallpaper. The brush tool looks like a standard paintbrush and allows you to layer colors with the click of a mouse.
Step6
Copy a picture or image that you want to add to your wallpaper in a separate Adobe Flash screen. You can apply the same color scheme and options to this image to add your favorite pictures to your digital design.
Step7
Download conversion software for Adobe Flash files to change your SWF files into image files. Conversion software like Glow V2 through MDM allows you to upload software that performs a conversion in a matter of minutes (see Resources below).
Step8
Update your Flash player before you build "SFW" files with animated features. You should test out your current Flash player to determine slow action on your animation before making a conversion.

Tips & Warnings

  • Locate a series of SWF obfuscators to prevent outside parties from stealing your Flash wallpaper. Obfuscator programs provide a measure of protection against theft or tampering with Flash codes that can destroy hours of hard work. Test out multiple obfuscators and understand the vulnerability of your files before you begin a large project.
