Step1
Holiday Season Eating
A recent study indicates the average American gains five pounds between Thanksgiving and New Year's – but you don't have to. While trying to lose weight during a season of lavish feasts and cocktail parties may not be realistic, you can maintain your weight and come out of the holidays without feeling as stuffed as your holiday turkey.
Step2
Here, you will find a few simple guidelines for healthy holiday eating:
• Don't try to diet. In other word, your goal should be to maintain weight, not lose it.
Step3
Holiday eating
• Try to avoid indulging in high-fat fast food, and make some effort to pre-plan several quick, healthy meals, and have them readily available for reheating.
Step4
• Choose lower fat choices, such as apples, cranberry dishes, baked squash, pumpkin, and vegetable dishes.
Step5
• Eat something before going to an event where alcohol will be served. The effects of alcohol are felt much more quickly on an empty stomach and can lead to overeating and over drinking.
Step6
• Drink one glass of water before each glass of an alcoholic beverage.
Step7
• Don't drink and drive.

on 12/11/2007 Hey these are some great tips. You can also eat some of those things that speed your metabolism like cabbage. Just find a few that taste good to you and keep it even.
