Things You'll Need:
- Milk of magnesia
- Witch hazel
- Cotton balls
- White terry cloth towels
- Face cream
-
Step 1
Liberally dab the milk of magnesia onto your skin with a soft cloth. Leave this mixture on until it is somewhat dry. Don't let the mixture become too dry. Allow somewhere around 20 to 30 minutes or more. If for the most part, the mixture is dry to the touch prepare to remove the mask with a hot, moist towel. Depending on your climate, more time may be needed. Do not remove until the mask is mostly dry but again not too dry.
-
Step 2
Take a hot towel, comfortable to the skin and remove the mixture from your face. Rinse with warm, tepid water until all traces of the mixture are no longer visible.
-
Step 3
Next open the witch hazel astringent. Take a cotton swab and turn the bottle over minimally saturating the cotton. Using the swab, minimally apply the witch hazel to your face avoiding the eye area.
-
Step 4
Apply your favorite face cream after application of the witch hazel and after the skin is dry to the touch. Your skin should immediately feel softer before application of the face cream.
