Things You'll Need:

How to Order at In-n-out Burger

  1. Step 1

Order it "Animal Style": A secret sauce and grilled onions will be placed on your burger.

  2. Step 2

Order the "Flying Dutchman": A burger without the frills--no bread, no lettuce; Nothing but the meat and cheese.

  3. Step 3

Order your burger "Protein Style": For those who hate carbs, order your burger this way. At check-out, you'll receive a burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun.

  4. Step 4

Order your fries "Well Done": Fries will be delivered to you extra crispy.

  5. Step 5

Order a "Grilled Cheese": For vegetarians, this one is a hit. It's a burger--without the burger, everything on a bun except for the meat.

  6. Step 6

Order a "5-by-5 or a 7-by-7": You'll get 5 stacks of meat and 5 slices of cheese, or 7 slices of cheese and 7 stacks of meat. There are myths of how high people have tried to order this type of burger.

on 10/9/2008 I work at in n out, and you can not order anything more than a 4x4 because of quality reasons. However, You can order a 4x4 and a flying Dutchman (2 meat patties with cheese) and build it yourself. But if you have ever seen the 50x50 or 100x100 challenge on YouTube.com notice all the grease and how gross it looks, and it usually ends up with the guy puking in the end...

Also in addition to the "secret menu":

You can also order "Animal Fries" which have 2 slices of melted cheese, spread and grilled onions on top.

There's a "Veggie" Which has Lettuce, tomato, spread, and onions are optional.

And a "grilled cheese" which has melted cheese, Lettuce, tomato, spread, and onions are optional.

Oh and the way you described the Animal style Burger was wrong, no offense...But it is actually any stock burger you choose, then it has mustard friend into the meat, grilled onions instead
