Things You'll Need:
- Cash
- Credit cards

Step 1
Dine at an Ethiopian restaurant. Take a trip to Merkato Restaurant (1035 ½ Fairfax Avenue) in the Little Ethiopian district of Los Angeles. Dine underneath exotic umbrellas and silk fabrics. Locals pack the restaurant to feast on its traditional stews and spicy meats. Lentils and flat bread are served with many of the meals, and honey wine is the beverage of choice for those over 21. Be careful because the meat can be spicy enough to make you break a sweat.
-
Step 2
Try Russian cuisine. Head to Traktir, (8151 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood), a Russian restaurant in the heart of “Little Russia.” The cuisine at Traktir is authentic Russian fare, and the décor complements the menu. Ethnic dishes like lamb kebabs, steak and Zakuski—cured salmon served with potatoes, are some of the most popular dishes served.
-
Step 3
Enjoy Chinese dim sum. Drive to Ocean Star (145 N Atlantic Blvd., Monterey Park, CA) in Monterey Park for dim sum at its finest. Waiters sift through the restaurant pushing carts of traditional Asian dishes. Point to a dish you want and the server will bring it to your table.
-
Step 4
Have a Brazilian meal. Bounce over to Bossanova (7181 W. Sunset Blvd.) for Brazilian food in a trendy atmosphere. Locals come here for the restaurant’s unique twists on salads, their spicy blackened chicken and of course, their sweet, crispy plantains.
-
Step 5
Savor sumptuous Argentinian dishes. Lala’s Argentinian Grill (7229 Melrose Avenue) is a hip, Argentinian restaurant on Melrose Avenue. Seductive low lighting and warm earth tones surround guests as they dine on spicy chicken dishes and sip Sangria.
