Massage Therapy School

Choose a massage therapy school, enroll, take massage therapy classes and you could become a massage therapist in seven months. After going to massage therapy school, you will be able to earn a very good income as a certified massage therapist. Here are some ideas as you choose a massage therapy school.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look for a massage therapy school in your area or in an area you'd like to travel to to take classes. Contact the American Massage Therapy Association to find an accredited massage therapy school to which you can apply.

  2. Step 2

Browse the online web sites of massage therapy schools you want to know more about. For example, the Utah College of Massage Therapy Schools has an informative site with information on its programs in Utah, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado.

  3. Step 3

Request information packets and applications from the massage therapy schools you are most interested in, for more information if needed. Otherwise, begin your online applications to the massage therapy schools you are interested in attending.

  4. Step 4

Read about massage therapy and the massage therapist occupation as you decide on a massage therapy school. The more educated a decision you can make, the better. See Resources, below, for book suggestions.

on 9/2/2009 Good article. Every State has different regulations for massage licensing (Some severals months, some a year or longer). A good way to judge if it's a good school is to ask how many graduates pass the licensing exam.
