Theater producers and owners realize this, and in an effort to attract young audiences are making cheap tickets available to people under 35.   1. Step 1

    Second Stage Theater. This prestigious theater responsible for hit productions such as the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee offers $25 tickets to anyone under 25. Best of all, you can order online.

  2. Step 2

    The New York City Opera (NYCO) has a program called Big Deal. Open to anyone 21-35, NYCO offers $30 orchestra seats, available in advance and on line, and hosts select parties and lectures throughout the season.

  3. Step 3

    Playwrights Horizons offers both discount subscriptions and single tickets to those under 30. Available in advance as a subscription or one hour prior to show time for $20.

  4. Step 4

    The Roundabout Theater, one of the largest non-profits in the city, has their own theater program for young people called Hiptix. Open to anyone 18-35, Hiptix offers $20 tickets to all productions and parties with free food and drinks at certain performances. There's even an opportunity to meet the cast. Even if the play's a bust, the party will make it worth your time and money. Who can't drink $20 worth of alcohol?
