How to Make a Holiday Gift Basket

Not only will this gift basket make a perfect gift for anyone you know, it will be appreciated and enjoyed. The best part is the your own personal touch! Impress your family, friends and coworkers and make up multiple baskets to give away!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• decorative basket
• ribbon or raffia
• cellophane gift bags
• a holiday decoration or CD
• Recipes and ingredients
• basket filling (shredded paper you buy at the craft store)
• Card

1. 
    
   select the perfect giftbaskets

   Go to your local craft store and select the basket(s) you like, some cellophane gift bags, ribbon or rafia, and some filler to put in the bottom of your basket(s).

2. 
    

   Purchase or burn a fun holiday CD, and or buy a cute holiday decoration like a snowman, candle, santa, teddy bear..etc.

3. 
    
   Create your own gourmet gift basket!

   Get to work in the kitchen and bake up some delicious goodies!
   Caramel Popcorn
   Peanut Brittle
   Snickerdoodles
   Snowball Cookies
   Spiced Nuts
   Five Minute Fudge

4. 
    

   Once you have made up your goodies, divide them into the cellophane bags and then tie raffia or ribbon around to close.

5. 
    

   Put the filler in the bottom of your gift basket(s) so the goods stand up a little more.

6. 
    
   make it a wine gift basket!

   Arrange your gift basket and fill with CD/gift and goodies. Add a bottle of wine or champagne if you know they would enjoy it. If you can't afford a full size bottle, throw in some mini-bottles.

7. 
    

   Tie a ribbon or some raffia around the handle of the gift basket if there is some. Or buy a roll of cellophane and wrap your whole basket up. Cut a large sheet of cellophane from the roll. Place basket in the middle and then pull all the ends up to the center above the gift basket. Secure together with some ribbon or raffia.

8. Include a card, either on the inside are affixed to the outside of the wrapped basket.

9. Give your lovely gift with pride and cheer!

on 2/24/2008 What a lovely idea. Like you said, anything homemade is so worth it to those you love. It shows them you care for them and love them. If these did not take so much time to prepare and purchase all the items, one could make a good business out of making these baskets.
